Our Story

When my son was 6 months old I decided to supplement my breast feeding with formula. After he was first given formula he came out in bright red welts over his body and was taken to hospital where he had blue swollen lips.

Scared
I was worried and scared when the doctor told me he had had an allergic reaction. I did not understand how a healthy baby could have such a reaction to milk (his staple diet at the time). Over the next few weeks the doctors suggested we try Goats milk, soy milk and other formulas for sensitive babies. All these had the same result.

Worry
After weeks of worry, hospital visits, trips to the doctor and calls to help lines we finally found a formula that he could handle. Finally after many frustrating weeks of him crying and me crying we found a formula that he could tolerate, Neocate.

He is now 1 year old and although he is doing really well on Neocate we still have to be very careful with the other foods that we give him.

Daycare Fear
Around Christmas time I decided it would be good for both him and me if he went to daycare for ½ a day a week. My worry turned to fear because his whole life I had been there to watch what he was eating and could monitor everything that he ate, however now he was going to be out of my sight.

Am I alone?
Although the daycare workers were fantastic and took note of his allergies and what actions they need to take if he has a reaction in their care I turned to the internet to see if other people felt the same way as I do or if I was being over protective.

The start of our operation
I wanted to do something to help families like ours.  Our products are an easy way to make people aware of the danger of allergies and help to keep them safe.

Peace of mind
I really love the idea of this product as it gives me a little piece of mind when I can’t be with him. As he is not old enough to tell someone that he is not allowed milk his badge/sticker lets them know.

These products not only raise awareness about Allergies but they could save a child’s life!!
